The ISA mobile app is designed to connect members of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists and provide easy access to important information, updates, and professional resources. The app helps anaesthesiologists stay informed, engaged, and connected with the latest developments in the field of anaesthesia. Founded in 1947, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists serves as a national platform for professionals to exchange knowledge, promote research, and enhance the quality of anaesthesia care in India. The ISA mobile app extends this mission by bringing essential features directly to members’ mobile devices.

Challenges & solutions

The technical problems our team solved to ship a reliable, unified mobile experience.

Developing many features in a single codebase makes screens cluttered, hard to test, and difficult to manage. It also causes page loading delays when handling multiple backend processes at the same time.

The project implements the Stacked MVVM design pattern where each screen has its own viewmodel. This isolates all API logic and page transitions from the UI, keeping the app organized, modular, and easy to scale.

Traditional state management triggers full-screen rebuilds even for minor updates like keyboard visibility or login changes. This decreases app speed, wastes memory, and causes lag on complex screens.

The project utilizes the Signals framework to declare global state variables. When a state changes, only the specific widget using that state updates, making the user interface highly responsive and fluid.

Repeated network requests for static data consume excessive bandwidth and cause slow load times in poor network conditions. Additionally, handling expired user sessions manually across the app can lead to security flaws.

The project uses the Dio HTTP client with Hive storage to cache API responses and store auth tokens. An automatic interceptor adds safety tokens to requests and wipes all local cached data instantly if a session expires.
