The technical problems our team solved to ship a reliable, unified mobile experience.

Protect highly personal family data - daily health statuses, private chats, and profile information — by encrypting everything before storage, while still decrypting instantly for display without slowing down the app or breaking real-time updates.

Implemented a custom encryption/decryption layer that secures all sensitive data at rest and in transit, with optimized on-device decryption that keeps the experience fast, seamless, and completely ad-free with zero data exposure.

Handle media storage and streaming - including video chat-related content and shared updates — with low latency and controlled access, where standard storage solutions were either too slow, too costly, or lacked secure delivery for private family content.

Integrated Bunny.net CDN with secure token-based URLs for media upload, storage, and global delivery, achieving fast load times, protected access to private content, and significantly reduced bandwidth costs.

Build a subscription system where one purchase unlocks premium features for multiple family members - managing shared entitlements, per-member access control, video call time limits (1 hr/month), and plan changes without breaking anyone's access mid-cycle

Designed a family-level entitlement architecture that links subscriptions to the care circle rather than individual accounts, automatically syncing premium access, feature limits, and controls across every member in real time.

Sync emoji check-ins, status changes, and alerts instantly across all family members' devices - ensuring the carecircle™ view is never stale, even with multiple members updating simultaneously.
